After 2 months of internship, as a consultant, Laura Solves, shares her experience with us :

1) Can you present your background to the readers ?

Very early on, I had the chance to gain experience abroad through an intercultural exchange in Uruguay for a year, when I was 15 years old. This first immersion experience with the locals made me want to pursue an internationally oriented training.

In this sense I did a Bachibac which is a double Baccalaureate resulting from an agreement between France and Spain. So I validated an ES baccalaureate as well as a Spanish baccalaureate.

Then I had the opportunity to do a D2 preparatory class at the ENS de Cachan and then to join the MAGEFI in Bordeaux.

2) Why did you choose a Masters in International Economics and Finance ?

I have always been passionate about economics and after the preparation, I wanted to continue studying it while discovering finance.

The Magister offered by the University of Bordeaux seemed to me to be a very good training because it made it possible to combine theoretical courses in economics, mathematics and finance with more professional teaching via high quality speakers.

Unlike most other courses, you can only join the Magister with at least a second year of license or two years of preparation.

The training then lasts three years which are in fact the equivalent of the third year of License, and two years of Master.

In addition, this university degree allows us to take our first steps in the professional world thanks to internships and an active network.

3) How was your internship at MOSI Consulting ?

Recruitment was done very quickly, within a week. The firm was very responsive.

I was recruited in February 2021 to start the internship in June 2021.

It was both an opportunity, but also a question of feeling because my interviews had gone very well and I had really appreciated the exchanges with the team.

During the first two weeks, I was able to discover how a consulting firm works, from recruitment to the commercial offer, including marketing.

Then I joined a mission within the financial department of a large Luxembourg insurer as a trainee consultant where I had to assist the teams on tasks related to the valuation of funds and the management of back operations. office titles.

It was an enriching experience that allowed me to put my theoretical knowledge into practice.

Whether at MOSI Consulting or at the client, I really appreciated the benevolence of the teams throughout my internship and I am convinced that this experience will be useful for my future choices.

4) What are your short and medium term projects ?

In the short term, I want to succeed in my Erasmus at the University of Bristol in England and validate my Master’s degree with the best possible result.

I also want to start a law degree at the start of the school year and above all I want to continue to discover finance and economics through future internships.

I remain open about my professional future and intend to use these next three years of intellectual overcoming to find the voice that will suit me the most.

I would like to thank the entire MOSI consulting team for the welcome and for this opportunity.
