Meeting with Mickaël Collet, Business Manager at MOSI Consulting

Mickaël Collet, Business Manager at MOSI Consulting talks to Dogfinance about his job and about trends in the consulting market.

1) Can you introduce yourself in a few words ?

After obtaining my scientific baccalaureate, I continued my higher education via a tri-national Franco-German-Swiss training in management at the Basel University of Applied Sciences.

This training allowed me to evolve and gain experience in the field of Finance and IT consulting through positions of Talent Manager and Project Management Officer on projects in Information Systems and Human Resources.

Today, I hold the position of Business Manager at Mosi Consulting.

2) Can you tell us what your job consists of today?

My role revolves around 3 main axes :

  • First of all, the development and animation of the relationship with our customers and the acquisition of new prospects in Banks and Insurance.
  • Then, the support of our consultants in the framework of a co-construction of their career plans in line with their aspirations and those of the company in terms of Compliance, Accounting, Risk and Digital Transformation.
  • Finally, the recruitment of new consultants in cooperation with the Talent Managers and in accordance with our values as well as those of our clients.

“The development and animation of the relationship with our customers.”

“I adhered to the values of the company such as passion, ethics and excellence that I could feel from the first exchanges with the team.”

3) And Why MOSI Consulting ?

I adhered to the values of the company such as passion, ethics and excellence that I could feel from the first exchanges with the team.

In addition, we share the same vision of management consulting, particularly around the development of a relationship of trust internally and with clients.

I also like challenges and I am motivated by the many projects that we wish to set up which concern as much the support of our clients on the Luxembourg market as the development of the well-being of our consultants or our policy in terms of social and environmental responsibility.

4) What can you tell us about the trends in consulting today ?

With the development of new technologies, the advent of AI and the Blockchain, all companies show a marked interest in digitalization, in particular to improve the customer experience, increase efficiency or simply to remain competitive.

The Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated this trend and precipitated the adoption of digital tools.

If we refer to management consulting, a study by the FEACO (European Federation of Organization Consulting Associations) shows that the consulting industry in Europe has experienced average growth of 6.4% since 2013 and that in 83% of European countries, projects related to digital transformation are growing strongly.

This trend remains valid for the financial sector, moreover banks and insurance companies are the leading consumers of advice at European level and represent 27.5% of overall turnover.

This is partly explained by the fact that financial institutions do not always have the necessary resources in-house to achieve their digitization objectives or to comply with regulatory developments (for example: Solvency 2, Basel III, Basel IV, DAC 6 , AML Guidelines.).

“We offer business solutions related to the activity of our clients, to the Accounting, Risk and Compliance departments, while ensuring cross-functionality facilitated by digitalization.”

5) Given this trend, how does Mosi Consulting operate in the Luxembourg market ?

In Luxembourg, as in other countries, we find several players such as strategy consulting firms, management and organization consulting firms and operational consulting firms.

MOSI Consulting is positioned as an independent firm in management and information systems specializing in banking and insurance.

We offer business solutions related to the activity of our clients, to the Accounting, Risk and Compliance departments, while ensuring cross-functionality facilitated by digitalization via projects related to the implementation of information systems, the optimization of process and change management.

Our commitment is to offer a lasting relationship to our customers, in particular with a transfer of skills and the anticipation of technological or regulatory developments to enable them to maintain their competitiveness..

Regarding our employees, we have set up training courses that allow support functions and consultants to improve their skills on subjects related to the problems of our customers.

We have also integrated a social dimension through concrete actions at the local level to support the most disadvantaged.

6) Why did you choose to go into the consulting industry ?

The environment in the field of consulting is stimulating because it allows me to continuously develop knowledge on current issues in the financial field and in particular in Banking and Insurance.

It is an environment that challenges my ability to adapt and my creativity since a consulting firm will constantly identify the key trends that will impact clients and then help them adapt.

In other words, it’s a business that reinvents itself all the time and that’s what I find really exciting.

“It is an environment that challenges my ability to adapt and my creativity.”

7) A word for the end ?

Yes, together “Let’s anticipate the future ».
